“The Church of Scientology Sued for Copyright Infringement

LOS ANGELES- By now, you probably have seen the slightly creepy, nine minute video of Tom Cruise discussing his infinite love of the Church of Scientology with the theme from Mission: Impossible looping every eight seconds in the background. As the video spread across the internet, the distraught Church of Scientology sent out several cease and desist letters claiming copyright infringement. A day after its release, it was taken down from YouTube and several other sites also stopped hosting the video. The litigious religious cult almost was able to cull the hype.

Apparently this has backfired. Not only has the mainstream media picked up the story and shown the video in its own endless loop, but Danny Elfman, who composed the music to Mission: Impossible, is also claiming copyright infringement for his music being used without his permission.”

This week never seems to let up.

Luckily theres some great pop music out there to keep spirits high….

And it needs to be done before I can waste any more time on this

… Is that as long as you’re sticking vaguely to your artistic concept your piece doesn’t need to have any particular standard structure, tonality or rhythm.

Which makes it nice and easy to bash it out in a week.

So I’m so unbelievably wired from drinking too much tea yesterday that I couldn’t sleep. A flash of inspiration hits and I have an idea for the most AMAZING tune. Unfortunately to do what I wanted to do (connecting this that and the other and re-modulating it through some other thingy) required a few more audio cables than I actually have.. as I only have about 2 that aren’t beyond repair. So I decided I might as well put an order in for some more as I had my credit card handy, and I went for some *very* reasonably priced ones from Thomann.de.

That was at about half one last night. This morning I wake up at 9 to find they’ve TEXTED me saying my order has been dispatched already. Now that’s what I like to hear! I can’t think of anywhere in the UK that does that. In fact I just got an email this morning from a nameless UK site saying an order I made *last week* has only just been *processed*… Maybe I’m just an impatient victim of online retail. It’s just a shame the stuff I want to buy is never in shops. ‘Trapdoor’ complete collection on DVD? Count Duckula t-shirt? I think HMV should get a foothold on the market of retro junk.

Well I like getting wasted as much as *everybody* else, and while it’s always made me that tiny bit more obnoxious, I don’t recall it ever leading to violence. I don’t think I’ve even so much as raised my voice at anyone either, as my concerns usually lie as to wether it’ll be scampi or bacon fries next. Bearing all this in mind it would be wrong to say I’m against alcohol, just.. 99% of drunk people. I don’t think my three month spell of serving them at 1am in KFC helped in the slightest!

Oh and lets not forget the guy I had to endure all the way back from Carlisle to Newcastle only last month, who consumed 8 doubles and several pints in about the space of an hour at the station’s bar, proceeded to drool all over himself while babbling something about being a sane, rational alcoholic who was completely in control of himself and his actions. He also tried to sell me some Peyote…

I do love it how this article ends with some Belgian guy saying:
